  • Sutra Lounge…decided to try clubbing in Costa Mesa for a change of scenery.  I had always heard that the OC was a little snobbier but things couldn’t have been further from the truth.  Everyone that I met was so friendly…we’re used to guys buying us drinks but even GIRLS were buying us drinks left and right.  Their mango mojito and peach martinis are really good.  Appetizers were just so so.  Music was good and a pretty decent sized crowd for a Monday night.

Pageant of the Masters…got tickets for this show in Laguna Beach early since they always sell out.  Tickets include free admission to the Festival of the Arts, so we walked around there and checked out the amazing artwork.  It’s been around for 70+ years.  Definitely worth checking out.  For those who are unfamiliar with what it’s about, here’s the description from their website.

Ninety minutes of “living pictures” – incredibly faithful art re-creations of classical and contemporary works with real people posing to look exactly like their counterparts in the original pieces. An outdoor amphitheater, professional orchestra, original score, live narration, intricate sets, sophisticated lighting, expert staff, and hundreds of dedicated volunteers have won recognition for the Pageant as the best presentation of its kind.

City Club on Bunker Hill…was invited to a reception here which is a private executive club located on the penthouse floor of the Wells Fargo Center in downtown LA.  The event was for alumni and friends of the Drucker School of Management of the Claremont Colleges.  There were free hor’dourves and an open bar so I got a little tipsy.  I think I made a few embarassing phone calls

OC Motorcycle Training…my motorcycle classes are this weekend.  I’m so excited!  Going to buy my friend’s Ninja 250cc.  Everyone’s been telling me how dangerous it is and I do know of several people who have died or been seriously hurt in accidents but I don’t plan on riding that much…plus I plan on riding very conservatively.

  • OMG motorcycle classes sound awesome-I’ve always wanted to get my license…even though I’ve been on a bike several times-have fun!!! I’ll probably wait until after my graduation to start having some real fun like you’ve been having :)

  • Awesome…can’t wait to do my motorcycle course. Have you studied for the written test?

  • pageant is cool huh!

umm motorcycle…no matter how safe you are, if a car hits you…you go flying.

Just saw an accident yesterday…bike tboned a car…guy went flying in the air…landed with a big hole in his head, stuff coming out of his ears….glass all over his face.  :X  off the 405 and harbor area.  sucked :(

    be careful!

    have a great weekend!

  • so when will you be joining us for bike night? :D hey, even with that 250, i can do wheelies on it, haha :P

  • i got to start looking at new bikes… haahaa… the month FLEW BY!!  omg!!  cant believe it’s already here….

what was your fav from the Pageant?  mine was the Sower (Van Gogh)….  =)  poor alfie couldn’t stay awake….

hey Im in Redondo tuesday and thursdays..  wanna try and do yoga on those days? do they still have the sale?  lemme know… =)

  • Riding it conservatively??!? You say that now, but I can totally see you busting wheelies on Hollywood for the helluvit. For the girls…it’s just something about having all that power between your legs that brings it out of you. *double entendre off*. Have fun!

  • “a few embarrassing phone calls”

    haha, no comment

  • lol…u taking the msf/chp course? if so, you’ll have the option of a 125/250cc. get on the 250. written test is a piece of cake, esp since you’ll take one for the course. get your license and we’ll go riding next time you’re up here.

  • So no endo’s then?

  • i think its easier for you to choose the dirt bike looking bike, cuz if u start with the 250, w/ no training, there’s a chance you could fail…

during these “…few embarrassing phone calls” i hope you remember me saying that it would’ve been better to have your permit first and practice, but its ok to do permite after the class…

and about the bike t-boning the car, that seems to be the biker’s fault.
so my advice to you right now is to not do what peter and danny do… for that matter, you probably shouldnt do what i do neither. hahahahah altho i believe i’m still the slowest rider in our group, but slow does not always mean safe. :)

  • wow your experience at Sutra was better than mine.  When I went with my friends, there were people asking if it was Chinese New Year.

i’m deathly afraid of motorcycles…esp in light of a friend who recently passed away due to a fatal motorcycle accident.

  • Motorcycle riding looks like a lot of fun, but I’ve never been brave enough to try it because of danger factor…not that has kept me from most other dangerous sports.

What is the experience of riding a bike like?

  • DID YOU PASS DID YOU PASS??!!  =)

  • wow you for riding a motorcycle!!  i’m sure you know to be careful out there… :)

  • A couple girls and I went to Landmark Saturday night and saw the REAL desperate housewives of oc.  :)   What are you doing on Saturday???

  • Wow, you’re gonna be a Ghostrider huh?! A lot of my friends are really into bikes out here. Ducati’s, to Harley’s. I’ve never made the switch, mostly because I know I would be the guy on the news getting flashed by photo radar doing a wheelie at 150+mph! I drive fast enough in my turbodiesel…

One tip, don’t split traffic! Every time I drive through LA I see the bikers doing that. I don’t know if it’s legal or not but no one sees you until it’s too late.

So when are you going to be on AIM???

    J.R.

  • I took my class in N. Hollywood.

  • hey girlie, i’m guessing you’re in cancun right now…hopefully you’re having a great time!

  • nevered clubbed in OC before, i’ll have to try it out some day~ any cuties?! lol XD

  • So how was the trip? Was diving in Cozumel great?
