  • Summer’s here!

Friday went to LACMA‘s free summer jazz concert and then checked out the Dan Flavin fluorescent light exhibit…pretty interesting.  Had dinner at Rosalind’s in Little Ethiopia.  Afterwards we watched my Super Ex-Girlfriend.

Saturday celebrated a friend’s birthday at the park…we had a BBQ, threw the football around, drank, and played cards.  Afterwards went to another friend’s birthday at J Lounge in downtown.  Happy birthday Chan and Grace!

Sunday we stopped by the Warehouse Sale to try and find some discounted designer jeans but the lines were so long (one line to get in, another to try on clothes, and another line to pay) that we just gave up.  Then headed over to the Standard in downtown for a pool party but they were at capacity so we just ended up having lunch on the patio with some bellinis.  Decided to go shopping on Rodeo and ended up splurging on a new Gucci purse and wallet.  In my defense I have put off this purchase for over a year and I really needed a new purse.  I went with a slightly different style than the one I originally wanted but this one’s got a little more room and I like it a lot better.

EDIT:  I just signed up for bartending classes!  It starts on July 9th and will be for two weeks Monday – Friday from 6-10pm.  The classes are with National Bartenders in Lakewood.  Let me know if you want to sign up too.  It’d be fun to take it with a friend.
