  •  My halloween costume this year--sexy pirate:

    I had one too many sake bombs for my birthday so my review of Tokyo Delve's should be taken with a grain of salt :-p  But the following reviews should be accurate.

    Hama Sushi...great hole in the wall sushi bar in Little Tokyo.  Really fresh sushi and friendly chefs with decent prices.

    Ahi Sushi...located in Studio City so it's a bit of a drive but totally worth it!  The toro, uni, and albacore are some of the best I've tasted.  Their blue crab roll and scallops in paper rice rolls are really good too.  For dessert try the green tea creme brulee.  I also recommend ordering their fresh grated wasabi...you can definitely tell the difference from regular wasabi that has more of a horse radish kick to it.

    Some movie reviews:

    Saw 2:  more gory than the first one but storyline is not as good.  I was a little disappointed by the lame ending.  The third one is coming out soon but based upon this movie I would probably wait for it to come out on DVD rather than see it in the theatre.

    What the Bleep Do We Know:  really good movie that makes you think.  It tries to apply findings from modern quantum physics and apply it to our lives in a philosophical and entertaining way.

  • quick, say it, "haaaaarrrrrr". i've been to ahi sushi...good. i thought all the saw movies were lame, not that i've seen any of it.

  • what the bleep was intriguing, thought provoking, and entertaining. I liked it. good choice on the sexy pirate. shiver me timbers! haha ahi sushi is pretty good. the green tea creme brulee is a good recommendation.

  • hmmm...sushi.  I recently went to a sushi buffet..but it wasn't good because they try to fill you up on rice.

  • what the bleep do we know.. I'll have to check that out. Unfortunately, it was previously recommended to me by a girl who I thought was rather... lacking in substance. So? I didn't care to watch it.

  • i wanted to do the sexy pirate look, but couldn't figure out how to make my dog fit into that theme.  perhaps a peg legged dog?  i don't know, so i ended up doing a bumble bee for the both of us (since i'm "the queen bee").

    as for the loser friends... yeah... it seems like no matter how often i make new friends, they always end up being the same way.... CHEAP!  ughhh... i think it has to do with where i live.

  • I watched "What the Bleep..." too based on a friend's recommendation a while back.  I thought the breath of content was good, but lacking the depth.  I really do feel like I don't know anything after I watched it.

  • For sushi, I'd highly recommend giving R-23 a try. If nothing else, it scores top ratings for obscure yet trendy location. What DSLR and Lens did you get?
