Barhopping, Beach, MOCA, Harry Potter and the Bowl
Barhopping...went for drinks at Good Luck Bar in Los Feliz...the drinks here seemed stronger than usual because I already felt the first drink...maybe because I told the bartender that I was taking bartending classes so he hooked it up, lolz. Afterwards we headed over to Bar Lubitsch in West Hollywood. Really fun place and crowd. I like it dirty...and uh yes I'm talking about my martinis and dancing
Sobered up at Astroburger...their quesadilla was really good and soaked up all the alcohol consumed earlier in the night.Beach...met up with some friends in Manhattan Beach for some volleyball. It was good seeing some friends I hadn't seen in forever and meeting a couple new people. I really need to work on my tan as well as get a surf board. I really want to learn to surf better this summer.
MOCA...had dinner at Midori Sushi in Sherman Oaks for all you can eat sushi. The sushi was pretty decent for all you can eat. Don't fill up too much on the rolls though...the chefs even gave us a "special" roll...but I'm sure it was so we wouldn't order as much. The service wasn't too slow but then we had an early dinner. You are limited for certain items like the uni and the roe...the first order came out ok but the second order you could definitely taste a decline in quality...so the trick is to order everything at once, lolz. Their sake sampler was really good! Afterwards we headed over for Night Vision at the Museum of Contemporary Art. During the summer on Saturdays, they're open until midnight and they have live music, movie screenings, artmaking, tours, and a bar. Some of the exhibits were a little too abstract for me but they made for interesting conversation nonetheless. The last stop was at Redwood...a pirate themed bar.
Harry Potter...went to see it at Graumann's Chinese theatre in Hollywood. I thought it was a little slow and there wasn't much action until the end but still worth going to see. It's not the best of the ones that have come out so far but it is the darkest...goes a lot more into character development which I'm sure is better in the book than in movie format. I'm behind on my reading...need to read a couple more books before I get the newest book coming out soon.
Hollywood Bowl...wine and a picnic before the show. Groove Armada was great...it was fun to actually get up and dance. Too bad they didn't play longer. Don't remember much of the second group Cafe Tecuba. It was great running randomly into a friend I hadn't seen for a long time.

everyone and their mama went to the bowl this past weekend. wow. wished i had gone. midori sushi is alright. better than any all you can eat sushi places for sure. i totally agree on ordering everything at once. only way to roll.
no BPM for me. 7am work the next day, and i've seen Colette and Marques a dozen times at least. i have zero interest in the main room.
ryc: no experience here with lead belaying, which is why my friend changed his mind... apparently just watching isn't good enough.
we may end up going canyoneering this weekend. but i wouldn't recommend going with us as we're very much novices.
do you by any chance know of any decent outdoor climbing in oc? my friend want to go after work...
my pals and i were @ yardhouse in brea. finally those punks came to my hood.
8-10% beer will get you more *^#!#&@)!(*#_(@!* than regular piss beer without the full...
but with beer also comes the fat / belly haha...
are you a myspacer? or the rare breed that does not =D
thanks for the climbing beta. it looks like we're probably going canyoneering and maybe rock climbing on saturday. we're undecided about going to santa anita canyon or the tea cups. we'll probably check out malibu state park on the weekend also. off to rei tomorrow to get lots of canyoneering gear.
