  • Friday:  grabbed some drinks at Red Buddha but it was more of a place to lounge than dance so we walked around Hollywood Blvd. before ending up at Ivar.

Saturday:  celebrated our 2 year anniversary by having dinner at Porterhouse Bistro.  Their prix fixe menu is a great deal...for $37.50/person you get 2 drinks (including alchoholic drinks), starter, choice of appetizer, soup, or salad, entree with side, and dessert.  We had the porterhouse steak of course and it was very good...so was the smoked salmon quesadilla and the chocolate lava cake.  I liked how they served desserts with a candle inside some cotton candy...haven't had cotton candy since I was a little kid.

Sunday:   enjoyed the open bar at Chi inside the Hyatt on Sunset.  Great atmosphere for drinks but the food was not really good.  We were supposed to go to a party in the penthouse afterwards but one of the elevators broke down and they ended up closing down the party so we spent the rest of the night at the restaurant.

Monday:  was supposed to go to a couple of BBQ's but ended up being lazy and just stayed in and cleaned the house since my mom is coming back from Vietnam today.  Yay...finally some home cooked food...I was starting to gain some weight from eating out for 2 1/2 weeks straight

  • ryc : went straight to the museum website. All other brokers are hiking up too much. LA museum sells through ticketmaster... but its separate from their regular ticketmaster prices I think. $30 in August.
