  • EDIT:  Went to Basque in Hollywood last night...I couldn't resist the Hypnotiq open bar  This club used to be Deep and they still have the burlesque dancers behind the one way mirrors above the bar.  I was hoping to see Lance from N'Sync since he was there last week but I was disapointed.  Afterwards, we walked over to another bar, Daddy's Lounge...nice dim atmosphere with leather couches...great place to chill with some drinks and to hang out with your friends.

    The weekend:

Dinner at Mishima…really good cheap udon noodles

Clubbing at Forbidden City for Amy’s Birthday

17.5 mile hike to Mt. San Gorgonio via the Vivian Creek trail with 5,550 feet elevation gain at an altitude of 11,499 feet.  Total time: 10 hours.

    Movie reviews:

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – I loved this book as a kid so of course I had to go see it…it was a lot better than I thought it was going to be…it’s a little weird but pretty entertaining. 3.5/5 stars

Fantastic Four – I was a big comic nerd back in the day and FF was one of my favorites…the guy who plays the Torch and Jessica Alba are HOT!…lots of good action. 4/5 stars

War of the Worlds – although there is a lot of big budget special effects in the movie…I thought the storyline was a little weak…Tom Cruise is starting to show his age…3/5 stars*

Wedding Crashers – I was expecting this to be funnier than it was…seemed like a lot of the good scenes were in the trailers already…Vince Vaughn kind of stole the show at the end…the weddings in the movie were beautiful though…gave me some good ideas, haha.  3/5 stars*

  • omg...you picked the pictures where your friends looked wasted and you're sober. Mishima is yummy...but I don't know about hiking 17.5 miles....that had to take like 4-5 hours?

  • What night did you go to Forbidden City? I've been there a few times on the weekdays but it was pretty dead...i really liked their layout though. I want to see wedding crashers soon. By the way thanks for your comment yesterday :)

  • oooh cool. I think I liked Wedding Crashers better than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Maybe I enjoy crude humor, haha.

  • FF4 got 4 out of 5? :o

What about the contrived dialogue and the bad acting? Granted you have two really hot actors (well, one...if you're a guy). I'd say 2.5 ^^ (.5 for Jess).

  • 17.5 MILES? I wanna try that sometime... Well, not 17.5 miles, but I think I could do like 7 or 8 if I have really comfortable shoes. Who do you go with?

And it's not *just* my lunch. It's snacks and stuff too ;P I'm trying to be healthy.
