  • Sport # 49587023 that I suck at:  Bowling

Went to Bowling Square in Arcadia...they have a special on Tuesday nights where it's $5/person and only $0.50/game and $0.50 for shoe rental.  Got there late so only played 2 games...I got an 88 and 93.  At least I wasn't the worst one there, but close.  Maybe that's why I keep trying out new sports in the hopes that I'll finally find something I'm good at  Afterwards we went to Life Plaza for some boba.

Going to a free outdoor concert at the Santa Monica Pier tonight.  Wine, music, and the stars...should be nice.

    Some belated movie reviews:

The Man:  saw a free screening of this at the Block...Samuel L. Jackson is surprisingly funny in this but there were a lot of moments that dragged.  I'd say save it for a rental. 2.5/5 stars.

Hitch:  i loved this movie...Will Smith is so cute!  My favorite line, "Life is not the amount of breaths you take, it's the moments that take your breath away" *sigh* 4.5/5 stars.

Saw:  the plot is kind of interesting and makes you think...movie jumps around a lot and the end leaves you hanging. 3/5 stars.

  • havent seen the man.. hitch is dope.. and i really enjoyed saw.. it surprised me..

  • helloooooo!? you came out to my area n didn't even say hi!? =i

I live less than 10 mins from Bowling Square! =P  Me n my h.s. friends used to go there EVERY DAY during certain summers! sometimes twice a day even!.. our school newspapers had these coupons for that place for 2 free bowling games.. we just took STACKS of the newspapers n cut em all out! =P hehehehe.. so we had countless free games of bowling! =P  It's not even that we were super into bowling, but hey, it was FREE! =P hhehehehe.. often, the guy at the counter would spot us playing in our NON-BOWLING shoes and shut our lane down till we went to go buy shoes!.. we got around that by having ONE person go ask for the lane n get a pair of shoes and we'd ALL pitch in to split THE BILL! =P  It'd be like, 50 cents each! =P  Of course, some of us had bigger feet than others n blah blah, so we'd usually juss get a size in the middle and everyone juss SQUEEZE IN or make do, etc! =P hehehe

  • Damn you went all the way over to Life after being up in Arcadia?  That's a lot of driving around.. should've just had everyone go to Monterey Park/San Gabriel since that would've been closer I thought.

  • hi~ thanks so much for your input!!  i didn't even know about all those other options that are more affordable...we're trying to decide if it'll be worth it to spend so much $ on the wedding.  hey~ you're from so cal too!!  i used to go to life plaza all the time to drink boba and now i live near santa monica!

  • for some reason when i bowl (which is rare), either the first half is good or the last half is. i am never good throughout. *sigh*

  • i have "saw" thru my netflix.  i heard different things about it - how it's so good, how it's so bad..so i'll have to see for myself.

  • yeah loved the idea behind Saw... not the killing but the "making you think" scenarios

  • i would never ask my current boss for a rec ... he's too stupid!  i could always ask my old boss so i dont really care ... hehe
